Chard is about to host a new weekly Digital Café. From the 24th of February, sponsored jointly by Spark Somerset and South Somerset District Council, the Digital Café is a free and friendly space which will run every Friday from 10 am to midday at the Eleos Café (28 Fore Street), providing a welcoming environment for people to learn about and explore their smartphones, tablets and laptops.
The Cafe is a perfect opportunity for individuals who are new to technology or who want to learn more about their devices. Whether you are looking to understand how to send an email, connect to Wi-Fi, or use a specific app, the Digital Cafe will have knowledgeable staff on hand to assist you. The Spark-trained volunteers create an environment where everyone is welcome, regardless of their level of tech knowledge.
The Digital Café also welcomes new volunteers who would like to help their neighbours learn new tech skills. New volunteers receive comprehensive training and support, making it a great opportunity to develop your own skills while helping others.
The Cafe is a great resource for the local community, providing a space for individuals to learn and grow their tech skills and is a fantastic initiative, aimed at empowering individuals and promoting digital literacy in Chard. So, mark the 24th of February in your calendars, and come join us at the Digital Café; we hope to see you there!
