As a direct result of listening to and in discussion with members of Chard Community and neighbouring Parishes it has been agreed to form The Chard Resilience Group.
Discussions took place on the 8th November 2021 at the Full Council Meeting Public Participation time and on the 24th January 2022 Community Event Drop-in event.
These discussions came about due to the two significant flood incidents experienced last year by Chard and neighbouring Parishes.
The Group will comprise volunteers from Chard & neighbouring Parishes with support from key agencies and Chard Town Council.
While the Resilience Group is born from the 2021 flooding, the groups intention is to support with all adverse weather.
