Chard Town Council has a number of parks and open spaces within the town and its surrounding area. We own and maintain five playgrounds; Upper Henson Park, Jocelyn Park, Halcombe, Ashcroft and Bampton Avenue. There are Multi Use Games Areas at Lower Henson Park and Jocelyn Park and also a skate park at Lower Henson Park. We also manage a number of open space sites such as Stringfellow Park and Bonds Meadow. Our Amenities Dept work hard to ensure the parks are kept clean and tidy, and undertake regular maintenance and safety inspections on the play equipment.
