Chard Town Council currently provides over 170 allotment plots in Chardstock Lane on land rented from a local land owner on a three year rolling basis. In 2012 half plots were introduced to encourage people to try their hand on the basis that a smaller plot may be easier to manage.
In the event of a waiting list situation this will be split into three sections with the main priority being given to first time applications from Chard residents, the second priority being for current allotment plot holders wishing to take on a second and the last being those who live outside of Chard.
Forms for applying for an allotment, erecting a shed or greenhouse on your allotment or if you wish to give up your allotment are available online. Please download the appropriate form, complete and return to the Guildhall.
If you would like any further information or need to report a problem at the allotment site, please contact us on 01460 239567
