Chard Town Council’s response to the Coronavirus pandemic
Chard Town Council recognise that we all have a role to play in our efforts to minimise the spread of the Coronavirus. Acknowledging the latest advice from the Government, the Town Council have implemented the following actions:
• With effect from Monday 23rd March, the Council office will be closed to members of the public. The Town Council staff will continue to work and can be contacted through email, phone or the “contact us” form on the Town Council website

• Whilst there will be no reception staff available during the current time, a phone is available on the reception desk which can be used if you wish to speak to a member of staff for advice on an issue.
• Council meetings are cancelled until further notice.
• The Election due to take place on Thursday 2nd April for one Councillor in the Holyrood Ward has been postponed until further notice
The Council is confident that the residents of Chard will understand that these measures are in the best interests of the community during this difficult time.
