On behalf of Chard Town Council Councillors and staff we would like to extend to you a very warm welcome. This site contains important information relating to the running of the town such as the council finances, agendas & minutes for meetings and information on services that we offer.
Chard Town Council was established in 1974 following the changes in local government, it is comprised of fifteen councillors representing the town’s five wards: Avishayes, Combe, Crimchard, Holyrood and Jocelyn. It has three standing committees as well as a number of working groups. Chard Town Councillors are supported by officers based at the Guildhall, Chard.
Road closures in chard
We are aware of a significant number of road closures in Chard, with more to come. Please note, Chard Town Council is not involved in determining these road closures as it is not the highway authority. Should you wish to comment or seek further details please contact Somerset Council Highways via their website or contact a unitary Councillor, details of whom are on the Councillors/Officers page of our website.
