On behalf of Chard Town Council Councillors and staff we would like to extend to you a very warm welcome. This site contains important information relating to the running of the town such as the council finances, agendas & minutes for meetings and information on services that we offer.
Chard Town Council was established in 1974 following the changes in local government, it is comprised of fifteen councillors representing the town’s five wards: Avishayes, Combe, Crimchard, Holyrood and Jocelyn. It has three standing committees as well as a number of working groups. Chard Town Councillors are supported by officers based at the Guildhall, Chard.

Election result
A new Councillor, Harry Tribble, has been elected for Chard Jocelyn Ward, following the election that was held Thursday 18th September. Somerset Council have issued the Declaration of Results of Poll.
